DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves responsibility for duties that involve providing health assessments and non-nursing services to students. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this class. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this class. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse (School). A Nurse Aide (School) does related work as assigned.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:

Assists the Registered Professional Nurse (School) with general duties of the Nurse’s Office
Cleans a variety of forms of accidents, including but not limited to vomit, urine, and excrement.
Aids students with personal hygiene by collecting bags of soiled linen and washing after toileting.
Assists students in maintaining their health, hygiene, and dignity before returning to the classroom
May help younger students with toileting
May monitor students in an isolation room.
May keep simple clerical records
Performs other related duties as assigned.

$15.50-$16.50/hour
