Job Description

Dansville Central School District is seeking highly qualified candidates to apply for the following position.

Position	Start Date	Hours
School Crossing Guard	November 18, 2026 (as soon as available)	7:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Position Overview:

A School Crossing Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety of students and families as they cross designated crosswalks in the school bus loop during morning arrival.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help students and families safely cross designated crosswalks.
• Monitor traffic and school bus activity during morning arrival.
• Use a stop sign to signal vehicles to stop when pedestrians are crossing.
• Wear reflective outerwear to remain visible to drivers.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and promote a safe, orderly arrival process.
• Follow school safety procedures and directions.

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive.
• Enjoy working with children and families.
• Ability to stand outdoors during morning arrival.
